Contract Kitting is an engineering company with expertise in the telecoms industry. We specialise in the design, production, integration, testing and implementation of solutions in the areas of DC power, operations management, cooling, hybrid power, cable assemblies and harnesses, and shelter solutions.

Growth

While in the past we’ve mainly serviced South African clients in the mobile network market, we are now fulfilling demand from a broader customer base. We continue to expand our offering to fixed-line operators, while geographically, we’ve embraced an expansion strategy seeking to serve more customers in Africa and the Middle East.

Exclusive distributor

Contract Kitting is the exclusive distributor of a number of industry leading products including Fiamm Batteries, Protrac RFID, AIO monitoring systems and Enatel DC Power solutions consisting of rectifiers, inverters, convertors and hybird power management solutions to mention but a few.

Solution developer

Harnessing the skills and vast experience of our employees, Contract Kitting has designed and developed personalised solutions for our customers. We have patents on CK25 and CK12 Free Air Cooling systems which reduce site OPEX, saving energy by intelligently evaluating the most efficient means of cooling an equipment container or room. This is done by cycling between air conditioners and fans, depending on the ambient and required interior temperatures.

Another of our products, the CK100 Intelligent Multi Party Site Power manager, helps to optimally manage the power source feeding different operators that shares a site, ensuring minimum downtime in case of power failure. We also design, build and reticulate special custom made containers or server rooms for housing telecoms and/or IT equipment.

Recently, we designed and produced a mini shelter container for a mobile operator whose primary concerns were space availability and tampering. The solution was a shelter with no visible hinges, made from different grades of steel in the various vulnerable areas, while half the size of the traditional models.

The CK200, our operations management solution, enables our customers to monitor and manage assets, environmental control systems, power systems and people. Beyond that, it is a manager of managers which integrates various element managers into a single platform, offering a consolidated ability to monitor, alarm and control various infrastructure.
