DC Power Systems

Batteries, rectifiers, inverters and converters are designed, dimensioned and supplied to fit the installation according to the customer’s load and standby power needs (battery back-up time).

In partnership with our principal Enatel, our DC Power Systems are designed to meet the requirements of Telecommunications applications needing high reliability and optimum performance with easy expansion by way of hot pluggable modular rectifiers.

With world-leading power density systems, ideal for telecommunication an data networks,(requiring 24, 48 and 60 V DC) Contract Kitting and Enatel offer modular 19' compact solutions. This creates more room for revenue generating equipment and allows for easy upgradability and expansion.

Amongst the solutions on offer are rectifiers, inverters, converters and hybrid power management solutions which are designed, scaled and supplied to fit the required installation according to customer's load and stand-by power needs (battery back-up time)

With the South African power utility under increased pressure the past few years, we’ve seen an increase in the demand for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Contract Kitting has a varied range of UPS batteries suitable for differing applications, from every-day home use to golf carts and wheel chair batteries, to high spec requirements like IT server room UPS solutions.

We offer a full range of sealed acid batteries ranging from 3-5 year commercial grade UPS batteries up to 15 year design life Gel Cyclic Batteries for renewable energy applications.

Batteries for UPS systems: Within South Africa we have seen an enormous upswing in both industrial and consumer demand for uninterrupted power supplies (UPS). To meet this requirement, Contract Kitting (CK) has developed a range of batteries for all functions, from wheel chairs and golf carts to top-end high-spec requirements, such as IT server room UPS solutions, while continuing to seek alternative energy sources.

Batteries for Telecomms: The greatest demand in Africa within Telecomms remains the front terminal 19' footprint battery. CK/Fiamm have launched the new FIT 180 ah - 12 V in the same box providing an additional 12,5% capacity in the same footprint.

Fiamm is set to revolutionise the battery world within the launch of the new Sodium Metal Chloride (SMC) High Temperature, High Cyclic, Long Life Intelligent Battery operating at temperatures of up to 60'C (constant) and with 1500 cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DOC)
